Rouse Hill Estate
A 10 minute drive takes you to one of Australia’s most culturally important historic properties, not only for its artifacts, furnishings, buildings and gardens, but also because it is the most complete document of continuous family occupancy of a country house in New South Wales.
Rouse Hill was established by Richard and Elizabeth Rouse in 1813 and has been in use by six generations of the one family. You can explore the remaining 13 hectares, its stables, summerhouse and outbuildings as well as the Georgian house. Due to the fragile nature of the estate, access to the property is by guided tour only and bookings are essential.
