We focus on different ways on implementing sustainable practices across hotel in restaurant, kitchen, accommodation rooms and conference spaces. As a team we focus on minimising waste, reducing our emissions, minimising and eliminating single use plastics where possible, renewable energy procurement, recycling and waste management and procure products in a sustainable way.

How can you help change the future in minimising waste?

If you are staying with us for more than one night you will have the opportunity to opt out of your room being cleaned each day! In return we give you a $10 Food and Beverage credit that can be used in the hotel restaurant! This $10 credit gets added for each day you stay with us. If you wish to add this onto your reservation, please include this when finalising your reservation or if you are unsure and have some questions you are welcome to speak with the team to add this on upon arrival at the hotel.

For our conference and events guests, we also focus on supporting and investing sustainability by promoting projects that help reduce on environmental footprint. By designing your meeting around digital note taking and sharing this will help us all reach sustainable goals. We have redesigned the way we set up our function spaces to ensure we are covering as many bases as possible. W

We have made the below changes:

• We use glass bottles that are refillable
• We set up a stationary station with booklets, pens etc ready for guests that need them but no longer set individually (can be done on request)
• Water stations within each function room

Protecting the environment is important to everyone. At EVT/Rydges, we pledge to make change happen by implementing sustainable practices across our group, both now and in the future. Our team have undergone training as a group to ensure consistency and understanding across EVT/Rydges’ approach to sustainability and goals. As a group we focus on a sustainable design, we approach by creating products and services that consider the environmental and social impact from initial design phase through to the end of life. Our whole team raise awareness for environmental protection initiatives to support our customers and team members, along with strengthen the implementation of our goals through integrated and collaborative partnerships.
